iCan Swim - Wichita, KS

Teaching people with disabilities to swim is not only a good idea, it’s essential. Creating an effective swimming program for people with disabilities takes a patient understanding of each swimmer as well as a well-thought-out plan for how the lessons can be adapted to each child. This is the foundation of our iCan Swim program.

"We’ve worked on biking for 4 years with no success, just some traumatic falls. We really questioned whether our daughter would ever be able to balance on a bike and pedal. We are all so grateful we had an opportunity to participate in this program. It was a huge breakthrough for her. I’m so grateful this program exists- there were so many more helpful devices here than even her PT clinic! After one week, she’s biking independently! She is so proud of herself and she tells us all the time “biking is fun!”"
