iCan Swim - Cincinnati, OH

Teaching people with disabilities to swim is not only a good idea, it’s essential. Creating an effective swimming program for people with disabilities takes a patient understanding of each swimmer as well as a well-thought-out plan for how the lessons can be adapted to each child. This is the foundation of our iCan Swim program.

"My son Zach is 21 and was not able to ride a bike at the beginning of the week. After years of doing an Adaptive Ski program I was motivated to try bike camp. Zach was riding his bike by day 3. His assigned volunteers encouraged him and ran tirelessly around a running track in our lovely hot & sticky NJ summer weather. There was a lot of sweat and water but no tears; Only smiling faces and lots of cheering for the new bikers. The techniques used by the technicians to upgrade the level of each riders independence and confidence was discreet & impressive. These guys really know how to get the job done. We now look forward to bike riding as a family with Zach."
